WESTMINSTER, Maryland — Therafit Rehab, one of the Mid-Atlantic’s premier providers of physical, occupational, and speech therapy for people with neurological conditions or traumatic injuries, will host a free webinar, “Mastering Virtual Learning,” for parents at noon Wednesday, Nov. 4. (Click here to register.)

The webinar will provide parents with actionable information and tips to help their children become more focused and independent students at home during these times of government-mandated virtual schooling. Therafit Rehab occupational therapists Hannah Williams, COTA/L, and Brooke Turner, MS OTR/L, will host the webinar via Zoom.

“Our goal for this webinar is to empower parents with guidance to set their children’s day up right, supporting their ability to stay alert, focused, and oriented while taking online classes,” Justin Gilligan, vice president of Therafit Rehab, said. “In turn, this will help parents focus more on their own jobs with fewer distractions, ultimately saving time and frustration.”

The webinar builds on Therafit Rehab’s latest free report, “5 Tips to Help Kids Master Virtual Learning” (available here). Williams and Turner compiled that report and will dive deeper into the problems, outcomes, and solutions during the lunchtime webinar. The presentation represents another free resource for parents that have grown frustrated by the virtual schooling experience still in place in many jurisdictions.

Williams and Turner frequently treat pediatric patients with occupational therapy, which helps to improve independence with functional activities. Capacity in the webinar is limited. Click the button below or call your local Therafit Rehab to register for the webinar.

As a healthcare provider (and not a gym), Therafit Rehab always will remain open to treat patients in-clinic, in-home, or via telehealth. Clinics adhere to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) standards and guidelines for facility and equipment sanitation and health, and staff members utilize personal protection equipment while visiting patients in their residences.

Therapy and movement remain essential to boost immune systems and wellness in people with neurological conditions or traumatic injuries. Request a free 15-minute consultation with a therapist at therafitrehab.com/appointment or by calling your local Therafit Rehab.
