WESTMINSTER, Maryland — Therafit Rehab, one of the Mid-Atlantic’s premier providers of physical, occupational and speech therapy for people with neurological conditions or traumatic injuries, today announced the addition of physical therapist Mirasol Jacobs and occupational therapist Brooke Turner to the full-time staff at its Westminster, Maryland, clinic.
Jacobs, who earned her doctorate of physical therapy at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, joins Therafit Rehab after serving as a physical therapist at FutureCare’s Lochearn location in northwestern Baltimore. She is certified in the LSVT BIG methodology for treatment of Parkinson’s disease and has prior physical therapy experience at Anne Arundel Medical Center, the University of Maryland, Rehab 2 Perform, the Visiting Nurses Association of Maryland, and Kaiser Permanente.
Turner, who earned her master’s degree in occupational therapy at Towson University, comes to Therafit Rehab following a tenure as the occupational therapist at Erickson Living’s Oak Crest Senior Living Community in Parkville. She gained prior experience at Northwest Hospital Center, Springfield Hospital Center, Erickson Living’s Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville, and the University of Maryland, among others.
“During the application process, Soly and Brooke each demonstrated a natural tendency toward the Therafit Way of providing care to patients,” Justin Gilligan, vice president of Therafit Rehab, said. “We love our patients and aim to give them ‘wow service’ whether we provide therapy in-clinic, in-home, or via telehealth, and Soly and Brooke believe in the same high principles. We’re delighted to add them to our team.”
As a healthcare provider (and not a gym), Therafit Rehab always will remain open to treat patients in-clinic, in-home, or via telehealth. Clinics adhere to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) standards and guidelines for facility and equipment sanitation and health, and staff members utilize personal protection equipment while visiting patients in their residences.
Therapy and movement remain essential to boost immune systems and wellness in people with neurological conditions or traumatic injuries. Request a free 15-minute consultation with a therapist at therafitrehab.com/appointment or by calling your local Therafit Rehab.
