WESTMINSTER, Maryland — Therafit Rehab, one of the Mid-Atlantic’s premier providers of physical, occupational and speech therapy for people with neurological conditions or traumatic injuries, announced it will host free multiple sclerosis wellness consultations June 18-26, 2020, at its locations in Maryland and New Jersey. Individuals that have MS and their caregivers are welcome to register for a consult.
The free screen, conducted by one of Therafit Rehab’s certified physical, occupational, or speech therapists, will last about 15 minutes and will include an interview and one or more assessment exercises for balance, gait, flexibility, and the like.
“Multiple sclerosis conditions can limit the fullness of a person’s life, but many of those conditions can be treated with appropriate therapy,” Justin Gilligan, vice president of Therafit Rehab, said. “The first step is listening to an MS patient’s concerns and fears, and then assessing their impact on quality of life. Before we can help MS patients restore lost function and get back to doing what they enjoy, our free consultations will guide patients’ current status and treatment possibilities.”
The free consults will take place at Therafit Rehab’s locations below. Spouses and loved ones are welcome.
Advance registration is required as space is limited. Register online at therafitrehab.com/free-consult-ms or by calling your local Therafit Rehab.
