WESTMINSTER, Maryland — Therafit Rehab, one of the Mid-Atlantic’s premier providers of physical, occupational and speech therapy for people with neurological conditions, today announced it will formally open a clinic in Baltimore city on Monday, Feb. 10.
Therafit Rehab – Cold Spring, located inside The League for People with Disabilities at 1111 E. Cold Spring Lane, becomes Therafit Rehab’s fifth location, joining clinics in Towson, Westminster and Woodlawn, Maryland, and in Middletown, New Jersey.
“We are delighted and thankful to partner with The League for People with Disabilities to provide our therapy services to residents in Baltimore,” Justin Gilligan, vice president at Therafit Rehab, said. “We share many of The League’s values that center on patient care, so this is a natural alignment that will help meet the needs of the local community.”
“The League for People with Disabilities has been helping the people of Baltimore for generations, and we are pleased to expand the services available to our participants through this partnership with Therafit Rehab,” Renee Dash, vice president of medical programs at The League, said.
The League for People with Disabilities is a nonprofit organization that offers individuals the opportunity to gain independence, increase self-sufficiency and to improve their quality of life. It was founded in 1927 and moved to its Cold Spring Lane facility in 1964.
Therafit Rehab – Cold Spring will see patients with stroke, multiple sclerosis, autism, cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions or with traumatic brain injuries during the hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Erica Bechtol, DPT and director of Therafit Rehab’s Woodlawn clinic, will serve as the clinical director at its new Cold Spring location.
